123BYG was an innovative Danish site that helped consumers find architects, contractors, and vendors for home building and home improvement.

Because the site was entirely database driven, the design was made modular to accommodate a variety of different page types from basic building blocks. The graph-paper background helped give the modules a structure, and the entire site the a crisp architectural feeling.

The graphics were friendly little icons so that functions are implied without the specifics of architectural styles--this was done to help the company as it expanded into new countries.

The colors are purposely kept simple, in keeping with clean Danish design preferences, but they, too are modular and can be internationalized to appeal to cultural preferences of different countries.
