California is fighting a
growing epidemic in its oak trees. “Sudden Oak Death” is the danger, and the California Oak Mortality Task Force” is working with everyone concerned to find a cure.
Their site needed to look “official” and easy to yet, yet at the same time, be attractive. I started out with Oak leaves and acorns-- both instantly
recognizable forms of the tree in danger. I took the colors from the trees themselves, so the design directly reflects both the oaks, and California. I created a very simple layout which could be flexible for the documents, both short and long. Because the task force itself will be maintaining the site, I
created a design which was easy to manage--and grow. See the site. NEXT > |
